A ‘Different’ Night Out

If you are thinking of hitting Liverpool town centre for a night out, always remember that there is more to a night than just getting hammered whilst dancing away to your favourite tunes in a pumping club. Liverpool has an amazing variety of bars and clubs that have a unique edge to them to provide you with a rare and exciting night out. And the best thing is that they are mostly close to the Liverpool city centre hotels to ensure you can crash into bed afterwards.

The Downstairs Bar in the Royal Court offers amazing stand-up comedy every Friday and Saturday nights. Established over years for its top class comedy, it has been home to various stars such as Jimmy Carr, John Bishop, Russell Howard, Peter Kay, Jason Manford and Johnny Vegas. With a great food selection and beers on continuous drafts, this electric atmosphere will provide you with a perfectly humorous evening.

Mo’Nique’s is Liverpool’s first Cabaret and Burlesque venue. You will feel like you are in Moulin Rouge as burlesque dancers and musicians will amuse and entice you. The site has obviously been influenced by past theatrical characters such as Oscar Wilde and Noel Coward, whilst you will genuinely feel like you are being transported back to the saloons of Paris and Berlin. Seated service and waiting staff are all available at your disposal, whilst the venue itself hosts Burlesque workshops if you’re feeling brave enough to hit the stage. This is not glittering camp, they mean serious business here.

For an actually alternative night, head off to Garland’s for the true definition of ‘camp’. Located on Dale Street, Garlands is one of the most popular gay clubs in Liverpool and offers hard beats for eccentric party players. Next door to G-Bar where you can sip on scrumptious cocktails, this is an amazing opportunity to experience Liverpool’s pulsating gay community.

Whichever path you decide to take, reserve a room at a Liverpool centre hotel to swagger off back to. If you are bored of the conventional night out, try any of these brilliant substitutes. Being different has never seemed so glamorous.
