Universities in Scotland – Strathclyde University

Strathclyde university sells itself as a centre of 'useful learning'. This mission statement certainly resonates today, with graduates no longer guaranteed employment; this idea was made evident after speaking to a well informed staff member at a renowned Scottish highland hotel last month. It's a strong selling point for any university to market itself on providing skills employers are looking for.

A Trek to Scotland

Being an American citizen, and having spent the greater portion of my life in that particular country, you can imagine that I was more than a little excited to visit an actual castle. Sure, I have seen an abundance of photos and films of them, but there is nothing quite like coming face to face with such a unique part of history.

The Myth of the Monster

The history of the Loch Ness monster is intense. Whether you believe in the myth or not, it is inevitable that you have come across come literature on the subject. As for my position, I do not believe in old Nessy. To me, it is more than likely just one of those things that spiralled out of control through history. I do not claim to be an expert on the matter, nor do I care to try.

A Fascinating Person I Met

I was in Equador for my once a year well deserved holidays. It is a tropical country that has no season. It can be in the middle of the winter and the temperature would be the same as in the middle of the summer. The food was absolutely amazing, it was very beautiful, it had many colours and the taste was like an explosion of new tastes inside my mouth.

Visiting Scotland

If you are thinking of planning a trip to Scotland, the first thing to remember is that you really want to be visiting in the summer as the winter is freezing and rainy. Because of this, most of the tourism industry and events that are most enjoyable occur between the months of May and September. You can still visit in the winter however – you could enjoy a spa break, some quality football matches or a hike across snowy mountains – but every activity that you could do in the winter you could still do in the summer and it would be far more enjoyable because of the weather. No one really likes the rain.

The Museums of Innsbruck

Innsbruck is widely known for its ski resorts, but surprisingly, this town has a lot of historical heritage while being small and remote place at first glance. The old town with the beautiful buildings rising there, the bridge and the overall elegance bring a lot of charm to the Tyrolean capital.

Where to Hide in Europe

With this topic I don’t want to make people think that I am talking about some kind of a refugees -related activity or something of that kind. In fact my primary idea is totally out of this topic and it is connected with traveling.
When the time to pick a destination is on demand, it seems to be difficult for most of us to go somewhere that you have never been before or simply to hide. The

Current Exhibitions at the Museum of London

The Museum of London is one of locations that every visitor to London should take some extra time to explore. In some ways it’s like many other museums, but the expansiveness and comprehensive nature of their collections is what sets this museum apart from the rest. It is so large that visitors are encouraged to set some time apart, more time than perhaps other attractions, so they can experience the depth and breadth of their cultural offerings.

Travelling is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and interesting things in this life. I cannot image spending my entire life staying at one place and missing all the wonders our planet offers. There are so many places and things that are worthy of being experienced that travelling twice a year is far from sufficiently. Unfortunately, flying is much less enjoyable than exploring. I have been on a numerous flights and still I find it difficult to enjoy flying with that extremely nervous first time fliers.

When it comes to tourism, there is a tendency to believe that tourists prefer to choose countries, which are both exiting, worth to be seen and have low prices.  Following this tendency, there is one particular country which answers to both of the requirements mentioned above, United Kingdom. We all have heard and have seen the stunning beauty of this country. We all know how big the museums are, how beautiful the gardens looks like and  how friendly British people are . All these factors , and many more ,  have made UK  the most desirable tourists destination and as a result of that British tourism is one of the most well – developed industries in this country .

5 Reasons To Visit Mayfair

Mayfair is on of the central London areas which are not very famous with its attractions for tourists but still remains one of the interesting spots for them.  The area preserves a lot of old building and squares, gardens and galleries. It is located pretty close to the Soho and two of the green lungs of London- Hyde park and Green park.

Hosting American embassy and the embassies of few other countries Mayfair is with diplomatic importance too. Few might be the main reason to take a tour around Mayfair of course everyone may found its own reason quite different from the listed below:

1)Historical past of Mayfair that determined the present face of the area with all the remarkable architecture creations becoming even more beautiful after the night falls.

2)Business importance of the area and the high concentration of the new office buildings with interesting faces. As a lot of the hedge funds, private bankers and other financial institutions are moved here Mayfair is compared with The city of London.

It Is Hard Not To Fall In Love With Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I am not saying this because I live here for almost a year but because that place took my heart from the very first day. There are so many  unique things in that country that it is hard not to fall in love with Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory but it has rich history that has been shared by Spanish, Indian, African influences. That is why this place quite differs from the States. The beaches of Puerto Rico are just a small part from its magic. Thousands of tourists come here each year to relish the white sands and crystal clear waters. Actually Puerto Rico is a favourite destinations to most of the surfers not only in the United States but around the world. The great weather conditions attracts them year round. The average temperature of the island is 28C, so you know what that means...flip-flops are all year long.
